About Alsic

Alsic (Language Learning and Information and Communication Systems) welcomes anybody working in areas related to its scope to present their work and ideas. Works drawing from cognate fields such as didactics, educational technology and learning sciences, linguistics and applied linguistics, psychology, information and communication sciences, and computer science are particularly welcome.

Since the publication of its first volume in 1998, Alsic has been exclusively published on line. Promoting and defending open access scientific publishing has always been important to the editorial team. The scientific committee brings together renowned French speaking researchers from about ten different countries. The selection procedure for the Research column follows strict scientific criteria. All submitted papers are reviewed anonymously by two or three experts. The editor and the reviewers closely work with the authors while they are finalising their texts. The procedure is very similar for the Practice and research column taking its slightly different focus into account. The procedure is suitably adapted for the other columns.

Our journal gives priority to articles from the French speaking community. However, articles have also been published in a dual French and foreign version of the same text.

Alsic wishes to give experienced or younger researchers as well as practitioners a forum where they can express themselves, give or get information, exchange ideas in a form that is easily available to all thanks to its publishing choices.
